The Thrill on the Hill

Brown Daub Chevy of Nazareth is sponsoring “The Thrill on the Hill” featuring Wailing Waters, Magic Bean, and Jimmy and the Parrots. The concert will take place at the Nazareth Borough Park Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 29, 2010. The show begins at 2:00 p.m.

“The Nazareth Center for the Arts opened this year and have been providing great entertainment to residents at a very reasonable cost,” said General Sales Manager Ron Fizer. “They also provide performers and artists a venue to showcase their talent. When we were asked to help support the organization and its mission we simply couldn’t say no. We’re looking forward to seeing hundreds of people out on the hillside to enjoy a great day of family entertainment!”

Tickets to the show are $5.00 and all proceeds benefit the Nazareth Center for the Arts ( Tickets can be purchased online at the Center’s Web site, at Mitch’s Market in Nazareth (corner of South New and Belvidere Streets), and at the Borough Park Cool Treats Refreshment Stand. Brown Daub Chevy of Nazareth is offering free tickets that can be picked up in the showroom (up to 4 per person) during regular business hours (M-Th 9:00 – 9:00, F 9:00 – 8:00 and S 9:00 – 5:00).

Wailing Waters features American Idol Season 9 contestant Tyler Grady. Since his appearance on the show he has been featured at several high profile events around the Lehigh Valley including the singing of the National Anthem at the home opener for the AAA Iron Pigs, the AAA All-Star Game, and Musikfest. The members of Wailing Waters are all from Nazareth. They are a dynamic modern rock band with classic rock roots consisting of Tyler Grady (lead vocals), Jackson Lukas (drums), Josh Zullo (bass, vocals), Joe DiMarco (keyboards, vocals), and Travis Hobbie (lead guitar, vocals).

Grab your beach chair, your suntan oil, and your favorite drink, and get ready for a trip to the islands! From the Caribbean to cities all over the US, Jimmy and the Parrots have been playing to delighted crowds for over 9 years. This renowned Jimmy Buffet tribute band is tropical rock at its best. In addition to Buffet, influences include Bob Marley, Beatles, Beach Boys, and the Zac Brown Band.  Band members are Jimmy Maraventano, Jimmy Maraventano, Jr., Hal B. Selzer, and Lance Hyland Stark.

Magic Bean is a Nazareth area band that will perform a set while equipment is transitioned between Jimmy and the Parrots and Wailing Waters. The band is currently working toward the release of their first album, which will present a blend of acoustic pop, jazz/folk originals along with interpretations of some timeless legends like Dylan, Guthrie, and the Rolling Stones. Magic Bean is comprised of Chris Thomas, Michael Fritz, Scott Follweiler, and Mike Wunderly.
